Digital Marketing Strategies You Should Try

Undeniably, in today’s landscape, digital marketing should take up a big portion of your marketing strategy. This is understandable. After all, there’s only one place where you can find all businesses and consumers – online. If you want to be able to find them, reach them, and connect with them, you have to be present online too.

As a small business, the whole digital marketing landscape can be overwhelming, especially since trends rarely stay the same for years or even months. Also, you already have to invest your time and energy into running your business. However, that does not mean that you should be left unaware of what digital marketing strategies will maximize your return on investment for your business.

Establish Goals and Identify the Tools You Need

Just as you established your goals before you started your business, you should also have your marketing goals in mind before any strategy is employed. Be as specific as you can. For instance, you might want to generate at least 50% more leads compared to last year.

Once you have identified your goals, you need to know what digital marketing tools you need to achieve those goals.

Assess Your Existing Digital Marketing Channels

When you are thinking of the digital marketing channels that you can incorporate into your strategy, it will be helpful if you can evaluate those that you are already using. Once you have a clear idea of what you have and how they are used, you can start thinking about which ones you should keep and which to cut.

Create Your Buyer Personas

One of the most important things to know when you are marketing, whether it’s online or offline, is who you are targeting your efforts to. The best strategies have detailed buyer personas in their foundation. Needless to say, you need to create them. Your buyer personas will represent your ideal customers. As much as possible, you should use real data instead of making assumptions when creating them.

Audit Your Content

Assuming that you already have existing content. You should make a list and rank them based on their previous performance in relation to the goals you have now. The point is to figure out which of your content is working and which is not. This will help ensure that you’re creating the right kind of content for the goals you have in mind.

These are some digital marketing strategies that can help you broaden your presence online. Managing your own digital marketing can be quite overwhelming, especially when you are also busy growing your business. Here’s one more tip for you – enlist the help of professionals! Danger Dynamite has a great team that can handle your digital marketing strategies so you can focus on what you’re good at. Give us a call today!

We have all suffered the same embarrassment: we see a good friend from a distance and wave enthusiastically, only to be surprised when she gets close, and we realize that the person we thought was a friend is a complete stranger! A few hours later we’re still trying to figure out what it was about that person that caused us to mistake her for a friend.

Just as we make this kind of honest mistake, websites, too, do not always recognize their true audience.

Every single day, hundreds of new websites pop up to serve various purposes: to market a service, gather a community, voice opinions, and to sell products. More often than not, site owners put all of their energy into creating their websites without realizing that they need to do one important thing first - perform audience research. Many business owners are driven by passion and act on instinct. They believe they know who they're creating a website for.

Unfortunately, mistakes can be made. It's very easy to fixate on a target, waste a few months (and potentially a bunch of money) before you realize that you're not actually hitting the mark!

That is why it is really important to obtain precise customer analytics to safeguard against mistaken identity.

Here are some tips on how you can get to know your audience:

See what your competitors are doing. Observe their brand and the marketing strategies they use. What is their brand voice like? Try to figure out why they prefer certain images over others, and why they choose specific phrases. It doesn’t mean your competitors all know what they are doing. There is a chance that they suffer from mistaken identity, but even then, you can have a look at what works and what doesn’t.

Take time to read comments. This is especially important if you do content marketing. You need to know how your audience is responding and how often they are engaging. When you monitor engagements, you can see which topics appeal to your audience and which ones fall flat.

If you want a more straightforward way to find out more about your audience, you can conduct surveys. Surveys in a question format work well. Know, however, that for your audience to actually take part of the survey, you may have to offer an incentive for their participation. You can give tokens or as most customers love – discounts!

You invest time and money in your marketing efforts. Don’t let that go to waste by targeting the wrong audience. Danger Dynamite can help you with all your digital marketing needs and make sure that you’re getting your message across to the right audience, the right way.

Why Small Businesses Need Social Media

As an inside joke, people in the industry say that in our world today we can categorize people into two – those who use (and probably addicted to) social media and those who don’t. Fortunately for us in the marketing world, millions of potential customers or clients fall into the first category. Businesses of all sizes need to establish a strong presence on social media if they want to reach their existing and potential customers who are always checking Tweets and news feeds.

As a small business, it is understandable that you have limited resources and time for your marketing efforts. But you definitely want to compete with other companies in your industry. To do that, you would need social media.

Here’s why it’s essential to establish your digital presence on social media:

Posts in your social media can be used to drive traffic. When you create a new page on your website, you would want the whole world to see it. But of course, you do not want to appear like you’re begging for attention. That’s where social media comes in. A well-placed and well-timed post can make a huge difference.

Social media helps boost your website’s SEO. Search engine crawlers can tell which pages are always earning traffic and which ones are just aimlessly floating. A strong content strategy for SEO is a crucial part of earning the number one spot in Google rankings, but getting traffic to your pages will also take them higher faster in the search engine results pages.

Social media can help build relationships. One of the things that make social media marketing so cool is how you get to interact with your customers. They can comment on your posts, you can see their Tweets, you can see constructive criticism, you can read what they love about your products and services, and so much more.

Social media marketing is a level playing field. There are brands out there that can allot bigger budgets for their ads than others, but when it comes to social media marketing, everyone is on equal footing. The brands that thrive in social media are not the biggest ones but those that have excellent attention-grabbing, the most relevant and entertaining posts, the most useful links, and yes sometimes the funniest and craziest gifs.

Social media allows you to respond to issues in a timely manner. Aside from the praises and raves about their products, business owners want to see if anyone has any concern with their products or services. Social media provides you the opportunity to get real time feedback and the chance to resolve any problem.

These are just some of the many benefits of using social media for your small business’ marketing efforts. In fact, unless your business is found across all important social channels, you really do not “exist” online. So are you ready to get ahead of your competitors by having an exceptional digital presence? Are you ready to take your business on the path to success? Go ahead and give us a call or even shoot us an email. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can!

If your business has a website, then you already know how important it is to get on the first page rankings of search engines. One of the main reasons is that you want to be visible to everyone who might require your product or service. For instance, Google is the number one search engine, providing information for about 12 billion searches every month. If you are a business owner, you should take note that 93% of all buying decisions begin with an online search. Now do you see where we’re going?

The key to gaining traffic through Google is to be on Google’s first page rankings. Why? Well, for one, websites on the first page of Google results page get 91.5% of traffic. Most people don’t go beyond the first page. After all, relevant results will probably be on the first page, right? You want to know what big a difference being on the first page is? When those in the first page get 91.5% of traffic, those on the second page only get 4.8% of traffic and those on page three, it even gets down to 1.1%.

Important Considerations to Make

So your website gets first page rankings. Good job! Does that mean you can relax now? Not at all! You still have your work cut out for you. The key to consistent lead generation success is expansion. There are two factors you need to pay attention to:

It matters where you rank on the first page. It’s not enough to just land on that first page; you should work hard to reach the top spot. In fact, it’s really crucial that you do. When you’re number 1, you get an average share of 32.5% of the overall traffic and number 2 only gets about 17.6%. What does number 10 get? If you are on this last spot you only get 2.4%. Those numbers are enough to tell you that ranking does matter.

Keywords matter, too. See, there are keywords that are more popular (therefore more powerful) than others. That’s why you should carefully consider the keywords you should aim for and use in your content. Now how does it work? Let’s say you are choosing between keyword A and keyword B. Keyword A has a search volume of about 100,000 each month while keyword B only has a volume of 1000 in a month. So even if you are number 1 for keyword B, you’ll only get 32 clicks while being number 10 or 11 for keyword A can get you 100 clicks.

The bottom line is, being on Google’s first page of search results means that your website is considered among the best for a specific keyword. That is what you should always work for – to be the very best. If you are able to provide what your target audience is looking for, you can be sure that your chance of getting top rank on Google is increased.

Danger Dynamite can help you land Google’s first page of search results and rank high. Contact us and we’ll discuss what we can do for you!

The Importance of Blogging for Any Business

Do you still remember how blogging started out during the late ‘90s? Back then, blogging was simply a new outlet for a person who wanted to share their experiences, feelings, thoughts, opinions, and more. Blogs functioned similarly to a diary or a journal, the only difference being that they were published online. Back then a blog would have a minimal following. But, they sure have grown! Today, blogs are viewed by millions of users – stay-at-home moms and business tycoons alike.

The reasons individuals post blogs are the same as before. But their purpose in the business world has changed, making them an essential tool for you to build your digital presence. Here’s what a blog can do for your business:

Boost Your Website’s SEO

One of the many benefits of blogging for your business is its ability to boost your website’s SEO. Google’s algorithm focuses heavily on content and how often posts and updates are made. If a blog is regularly updated and posts are about relevant topics, you’ll definitely see an improvement in your website’s SEO.

Increase Traffic through Inbound Links

Blogging for your company allows you to get more relevant inbound links that will then direct readers to various parts of your website. Together with SEO, this can allow you to get more traffic to your website and even have visitors spending more time on your website. You can even have new customers from this.

Establish You as an Expert in Your Field

Another known benefit of having a blog for your business is that well-written content actually makes readers and customers more confident in your brand. This benefit, however, is often overlooked. You should always remember that you are writing for your readers who are at the other end of your blog. This may not be your reason for building content, but keeping this in mind will help you create a stronger connection with your prospective customers.

Because people check your blogs for information, when you constantly post relevant and valuable content, they view you as an authority and they are more likely to turn to you when it’s time for them to make a purchase or try a service.

Manage Your Digital Presence

Blogging surely has grown from being just a hobby for some individuals to being a very influential tool for businesses. It has provided an even playing field for all business, whether it’s a small town mom and pop shop or an international brand. You don’t need to be a big company, nor do you need millions of dollars to have a blog. What you simply need is a reliable team to do research on topics relevant to your industry and consistently create blog content for you and your readers and Danger Dynamite is that team.
